Eligibility
• Passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination from a Secondary/Higher Secondary Education Board, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government; and • A minimum one-year Sanitary Inspector's Diploma Course from a Government-recognized institution; or • A minimum one-year Certificate of Health Sanitary Inspectors from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) or any other Government-recognized institute; and • Basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed under the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; and • Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both. Candidates without a basic computer knowledge certificate at the time of application may still apply, but must submit proof of having passed a basic computer knowledge test before appointment, failing which their selection will be cancelled.
Age Limit
As on 15/09/2025, the candidate's age must not be less than 18 years and not more than 33 years. Upper age limit may be relaxed for candidates already in Gujarat Government service, as per the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
Salary
• Selected candidates will be appointed on a fixed monthly pay of ₹26,000 for the first five years, along with other benefits as per applicable Finance Department resolutions. • After five years, subject to satisfactory service, candidates become eligible for regular appointment in the 7th Pay Commission scale of ₹25,000 to ₹81,100 (Level-4), subject to the outcome of Supreme Court SLP No. 14124/2012 and SLP No. 14125/2012. • For candidates appointed at Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation specifically: they will not be treated as Gujarat Government employees, and after three years of satisfactory service become eligible for the same 7th Pay Commission Level-4 scale (₹25,500–₹81,100 per the corrigendum).

• Visit https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in and click "Online Application" → "Apply", then select GSSSB. • Select Advertisement No. 349/202526 (Municipal Sanitary Inspector, Class-3) and click Apply. • Click "Apply Now", then "Skip" to open the application format; fill in Personal Details (fields marked with a red asterisk are mandatory). • Fill in Educational Details. • Accept the declaration ("Assurance") and click Save to generate your Application Number. • Upload your photograph (5 cm height × 3.6 cm width) and signature (2.5 cm height × 7.5 cm width) in JPG format, each under 15 KB. • Click "Confirm Application" - once confirmed, no further edits are possible. • Note the Confirmation Number generated; this is required for all further steps. • Download and print a copy of the application form for your records. • Pay the applicable examination fee online by 29/07/2026 (11:59 PM) via Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or Wallet, and save the payment receipt. Candidates should submit only one application. If multiple applications are submitted, the last confirmed application (with fee paid) will be considered valid, and earlier ones will be cancelled; fees paid on cancelled applications will not be refunded or adjusted.

Important Instructions
