Eligibility
• Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’: M.E/M.Tech/M.Sc(Engg) or equivalent post graduate degree in Machine Designwith an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 point scale with preeligibility qualification of B.E/B.Tech/ B.Sc(Engg) or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering with an aggregate minimum of 65% of marks (Average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 point scale • Technical Assistant: First Class Diploma in Relevant Engineering from a recognised University/ Institution. • Scientific Assistant: First Class B.Sc. with Chemistry as main subject from a recognised University/ Institution. Selection Process
Selection process for Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ : • The mode of selection will be Written Test and Interview. • The Written Test will be conducted in such a way that theoretical and practical knowledge of the candidate is tested covering both the breadth and depth of the prescribed curriculum. • Based on the performance in the Written Test, candidates will be shortlisted for Interview, generally in 1:5 ratio with a minimum of 10 candidates to the category-wise number of vacancies. • For selection 50% weightage shall be given to written test marks and 50% weightage to interview marks. Selection process for Technical Assistant/Scientific Assistant/Library Assistant ‘A’/ Technician –B/ Draughtsman-B • The Written Test will be conducted in such a way that theoretical and practical knowledge of the candidate is tested covering both breadth and depth of the prescribed curriculum. Shortlisting for Skill Test: • Based on the performance in the Written Test, candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test categorywise in 1:5 ratio with minimum of 10 candidates.
