Exam Pattern
The WBPSC Sub-Surveyor written examination consists of two papers with different formats and purposes. Paper I is a conventional or descriptive language paper. Paper II is an objective examination consisting of English, Elementary Mathematics and Survey Engineering.
Syllabus
Paper I tests proficiency in Bengali or Nepali at the Madhyamik or equivalent standard. Topic: Syllabus Coverage Letter Writing: Writing letters in Bengali or Nepali Report Writing: Drafting a report in the prescribed language Grammar: Bengali or Nepali grammar and correct language usage The paper is descriptive rather than multiple-choice. Candidates should practise writing clearly and completing language questions within one hour.
